Responsibilities Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, straight razor shaves, beard trims, and hair styling tailored to each client's preferences. Apply color theory knowledge for hair coloring and styling treatments to achieve desired results. Offer additional services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction. Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations. Utilize salon software like

MINDBODY

for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients professionally, understanding their needs, and offering product recommendations through upselling techniques. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing walk-ins, and supporting store management operations. Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair extensions, retail math calculations, and salon best practices to foster a collaborative environment. Experience Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current certification to perform professional grooming services. Proven experience in hair styling, barbering techniques—including straight razor shaves—and hair extensions application. Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for booking and client management. Strong understanding of color theory principles for coloring services and styling techniques. Experience with sanitation protocols specific to salons and barbershops to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients while demonstrating professionalism and confidence.
