Hair Stylist / Barber

Overview We are hiring a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team for an immediate opening. As a Sharkey's Hair Stylist or Barber, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our clients' appearance and confidence through exceptional hair care services. You will be responsible for providing a range of hair styling services while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Duties Perform various hair services including cutting and styling according to client preferences. Freedom to be as creative as the kids. Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling, techniques, and products to provide clients with the best options available. Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to client preferences and offering personalized recommendations Assist at the front desk with appointment bookings, check-ins, and store daily tasks Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and teamwork excellence Requirements Valid cosmetology license or equivalent certification. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor. Be comfortable around children and easily adapt to different personalities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. Minimum guaranteed hours upon hire plus opportunities for additional hours. Tips on top of hourly wage could amount to $48 per hour+ on a typical weekend day.
