Job Description

Licensed Esthetician Cosmetologist Bumblebee Skincare and Waxing - 4.8 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Cosmetology License Customer communication Teamwork Front desk Esthetician License Cosmetology Full Job Description Licensed Esthetician / Cosmetologist Bumblebee Skincare & Waxing Tallahassee, FL Full-time $20-$25/hour + tips (in esthetic role) + paid training Please Apply Through Our Website To be considered, please complete our full website application so we can review your responses beyond a resume: https://bumblebeeskincare.com/pages/join-our-team Our application helps us understand your experience, availability, communication style, growth mindset, and why Bumblebee feels aligned for you. Applications submitted only through Indeed may not be fully reviewed. About the Role Bumblebee Skincare & Waxing is looking for a licensed esthetician or esthetic-forward cosmetologist who wants to build a long-term career inside a structured, team-based, guest-centered environment. This is not a "try it out" job. This is a career path. At Bumblebee, we are not only looking for good hands. We are looking for someone who can learn our systems, care about the full guest experience, receive feedback, communicate clearly, and grow with the Hive over time. We are warm, playful, and deeply caring. And we take our standards seriously. What Makes This Role Different You may not start immediately in the treatment room. For most new providers, the first chapter includes front desk immersion and guest journey training before fully transitioning into the treatment room. This usually lasts 4 to 12 weeks, depending on experience, readiness, training progress, schedule needs, and business flow. That is intentional. The best Bumblebee providers understand more than services. They understand how the entire guest experience works from beginning to end.
They understand:
how guests think and feel how timing impacts the whole spa how rebooking protects results how retail supports home care how communication prevents problems how the guest experience begins long before the treatment room Front desk immersion is not "less than." It is where future Hive providers learn awareness, flow, communication, systems, and ownership. What You'll Do Once transitioned into the provider role, you will: Deliver consistent, results-driven esthetic services Create a warm, professional, guest-centered experience Complete notes, charting, and treatment plans accurately and on time Prepare and reset your treatment room intentionally for every guest Learn and uphold Bumblebee's service flow, language, and care standards Support rebooking, retail recommendations, and guest follow-through Communicate clearly with front desk, leadership, and teammates Participate in ongoing training, education, and coaching Support overall team flow, not just your own schedule Assist with front desk, inventory, guest care, or team needs during unbooked time Represent Bumblebee professionally inside and outside the Hive This role is not just "doing services." This is learning how to operate your role like a professional. Who Thrives Here You may be a strong fit if you: Take ownership without being chased Can receive feedback and apply it Want structure, standards, and support Naturally think, "What needs to happen next?" Care about the guest experience beyond the treatment room Communicate early, clearly, and directly Ask questions instead of guessing Follow systems even when things get busy Stay calm and professional under pressure Want to grow into a long-term esthetic career We are not looking for perfection. We are looking for presence, ownership, consistency, and growth. This May Not Be the Best Fit If You Are Looking For A role where you can focus only on services and not the full guest experience A slower-paced environment with fewer moving parts A highly independent role with minimal coaching or feedback A position where expectations stay mostly the same over time A workplace where you can learn quietly without much real-time communication A temporary, seasonal, or "let me see how this goes" position A role where systems, notes, rebooking, retail support, and team flow are not a major part of the work Different people thrive in different environments, and that is okay. We want this to be the right fit for you and for the Hive.
Schedule Typical provider schedule:
Wednesday through Saturday Shifts may include 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm Saturdays are required This is a long-term, year-round position This is not a seasonal position Training schedules may vary during onboarding and front desk immersion. Pay Starting pay is typically $20-$25 per hour based on experience, readiness, coachability, service background, reliability, team contribution, and role fit. Bumblebee is a team-based hourly environment.
This role includes:
Hourly pay Tips Paid training Paid lunch breaks Team bonus opportunities Employee service and product discounts within team guidelines IRA match after 6 months, if applicable Pay growth is tied to performance, consistency, communication, guest care, team flow, and contribution to the business. Training & Development Training may include: Front desk immersion and guest journey training One-on-one esthetic training Hands-on and online education Service timing and treatment room flow Consultation and communication training Product knowledge and retail support Rebooking and guest follow-through Ongoing coaching and development At Bumblebee, we do not just teach you what to do. We teach you how to think. License Requirement To perform services, you must hold an active Florida esthetician or cosmetology license, or be actively working toward Florida licensure with a clear timeline. Service work begins only when licensing, training readiness, and Bumblebee standards are met. Our Standard We are not a fast-service, one-size-fits-all spa. We are here to build trust through educated care, consistent experiences, thoughtful recommendations, and real guest relationships. We aim to become one of the most trusted parts of our guests' self-care routines. We are playful and deeply caring. And we take our standards seriously. Our Culture At Bumblebee, hospitality matters. Details matter. Systems matter. Communication matters. We are a team-based business, which means we support each other, protect the guest experience together, and grow together.
Our values are:
Growth Connection Independence We believe work can be meaningful and fun when communication, accountability, hospitality, and teamwork are strong. We laugh together. We support each other. We move quickly. And when it is time to care for our guests, we show up fully. Before Applying, Ask Yourself Can I receive direct feedback without shutting down? Can I stay engaged when learning feels uncomfortable? Do I want to be developed, not just employed? Am I willing to learn the full guest experience, not only the treatment room? Can I follow systems without needing constant reminders? Can I communicate early, clearly, and directly? Am I ready to contribute to something bigger than myself? If this excites you more than it intimidates you, we would love to meet you. How to Apply Please complete our full website application here: https://bumblebeeskincare.com/pages/join-our-team The website application is required because we want to learn more than what is on a resume. Due to the number of applications we receive, we are not able to respond to individual follow-up calls, emails, or walk-ins regarding application status. We review applications carefully and will contact applicants directly if selected for the next step. Thank you for understanding and for respecting the application process.
