SALON ASSOCIATE

At our Prestigious 12K sq foot location in West Palm Beach, you will work alongside top-tier salon professionals, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and knowledge in the cosmetology industry. Learning from our dynamic, creative, and dedicated mentors will equip you with the skills to build a successful career in this thriving field. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, a passion for beauty, and dedication to your craft.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning and Development:

Take direction and learn from experienced service providers and leadership. Train under your mentor and other mentors for future release from the training program. Learn color techniques or styling techniques from mentors.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction. Greet clients, offer beverages, and assist them with their needs during appointments. Schedule appointments at the front desk and workstations as needed. Help with store management tasks such as inventory management and restocking supplies. Support mentoring of new team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Salon Maintenance:

Maintain salon cleanliness by washing bowls, brushes, and miscellaneous hair equipment. Wipe stations, chairs, footrests, and other areas as instructed. Keep the shampoo area orderly and clean, including bottles and cabinets. Ensure towels and robes are clean, folded, and ready for guests.

Support and Assistance:

Assist service providers in managing their guests and appointment books. Shampoo guests and take down color for service providers as needed. Clean and organize the back bar and color orders. Sweep hair before blow-dry service begins or as instructed by service providers. Assist in selling retail products and pulling items for front desk sales. Recommend retail products to clients.

Professionalism and Teamwork:

Communicate and work effectively and professionally as a team player. Display excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate respectfully with clients, team members, and leadership. Present a professional appearance in accordance with the dress code standards. Limit downtime to lunch and breaks, remaining alert and available to help on the salon floor. Assist all providers salon-wide during downtime, even if assigned to a mentor. Complete and sign the opening and closing checklist for submission daily to the leadership team. Report to work 15 minutes before the scheduled start time or as needed.

Qualifications:

Passion for the beauty industry and a desire to learn and grow as a salon professional. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Professional appearance and adherence to dress code standards. Excellent customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
