Hairdresser Northbrook Rehabilitation Center - 3.5 Cedar Rapids, IA Job Details Part-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Cosmetology License Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Northbrook Rehabilitation Center is actively hiring a Hairdresser to provide professional hair care services that help residents look and feel their best. As a Hairdresser, you will deliver compassionate, resident-centered cosmetology services in a long-term care setting while building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff. If you are a licensed Cosmetologist who enjoys working with older adults, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact.
Compensation:
Daily Pay Available! Service-based role where the Hairdresser charges residents directly, with flexible earning potential Facility pricing guidelines ensure services remain reasonable and affordable for residents Opportunity to build a consistent client base within the community Schedule and Employment Type Part-Time Days | 1-2 visits per week (schedule to be determined) Key Responsibilities Provide professional hair care services as a Hairdresser, including haircuts and styling for men and women Perform beard and mustache trimming and grooming services Provide permanent wave (perm) services and hair coloring or touch-up services Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary salon environment Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff Deliver services with patience, kindness, and respect while accommodating each resident's individual needs Qualifications Current and valid Iowa Cosmetology License required Ability to pass a criminal background check Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach to care Reliable transportation and dependable attendance If you are a licensed Hairdresser or Cosmetologist who is passionate about helping seniors look and feel their best, apply today to join our Northbrook Rehabilitation Center team.
