Full Job Description Job Overview Job Title:
Hair Stylist / Cosmetologist
  • Kids Salon At Shear Madness Haircuts for Kids, we specialize in making haircuts fun, comfortable, and stress-free for children and their families.
Our salon is designed with kids in mind—from vehicle-themed styling chairs to TVs with Disney+ and even gaming stations—so every visit feels like an experience, not just a haircut. This is the perfect place to work if you don't enjoy elaborate styles, or color services. We are also a company that understands and cares about a healthy work/life balance. We're looking for a friendly, patient, and reliable stylist who enjoys working with children and can thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Pay:
  • $14/hour + tips (new or returning cosmetologists)
  • $15•17/hour + tips (based on experience and advancement) With tips, hourly pay averages at $24•40+/ hour!
Schedule:
Scheduling is flexible as needed and can be consistent, so you don't have to work different hours every week.
  • Tuesday-Friday:
    10 AM
  • 7 PM
  • Saturday:
    8 AM
  • 5 PM
  • Sunday:
    11 AM
  • 4
PM Availability Needed:
  • Must be available most weekends
  • Strong preference for Friday afternoons (2-7 PM) and
Sundays Responsibilities:
  • Provide haircuts and basic styling services for children of all ages
  • Communicate with both children and parents to achieve desired results
  • Create a fun, patient, and positive experience for every client
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations
  • Support team members and daily salon operations
Qualifications:
  • Valid cosmetology or barber license
  • Comfortable and confident working with children
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
