Cosmetology Instructor:
The role of an instructor is to educate and inspire students to learn about the Cosmetology Industry and develop skills that will help them succeed in their chosen careers. It is at the heart of our mission to lead each of our students to a creative and satisfying career and aid them to follow their passion. We are dedicated to providing the educational staff with advanced education, career development, and advanced leadership skills.
Skills/ Competencies Required:
Strong public speaking and oral presentation skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal communication and critical-thinking skills to communicate ideas while analyzing and solving student concerns. Must be proficient and possess active listening skills to understand and adapt to students' various learning needs. Must be able to exude confidence, manage a classroom, and prioritize duties. Must be highly motivated, organized and adaptable. Must possess strong presentation skills with the ability to relate to various types of students and learning styles. Must be tech-savvy to keep up with the current teaching methods. Must be able to adapt to new teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students.
Responsibilities:
Design learning objectives, prepare and deliver lessons to effectively meet students' various learning styles. Strong commitment to making the profession stronger by promoting a professional, respectful and upbeat environment, where students will thrive under their direction. Ability to multitask and stay on top of weekly/daily/ monthly educational goals and academic calendar to ensure student success. Must have the ability to teach techniques and skills in both a classroom and student spa environment, virtually and on-campus. Adhere to a well-structured lesson plan and present, update and implement curriculum by instructing new advancements. Ability to maintain regular, reliable attendance which adheres to assigned work schedule including proper log in/log out for time recording. Track, monitor and report student attendance and grades. Accurately maintain program and student records. Establish and communicate clear objectives for daily lessons, units and projects.
