Resident Hair Specialist/Licensed Cosmetologist

As a Resident Hair Specialist, you will provide personalized hair services in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment, specializing in styles and techniques that flatter mature hair. The role is about more than just hair - it's about building meaningful connections and providing a valuable service that enhances our resident's well-being and confidence.

Responsibilities:

Provide thorough consultations, haircuts, styling, chemical services and other hair services tailored to the needs of the communities' residents. Educate residents on best hair care practices. Offer a gentle and patient service, considering mobility and needs. Build rapport and maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor with the community. Stay up to date on trends and techniques suitable for mature hair: traditional perms, roller sets, teasing, and more. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Qualifications:

Cosmetology License is required. Must be licensed for at least 3 years. Experience working with senior clients is preferred but not required. Applicants must possess strong foundational skills in cutting and styling. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy and a genuine desire to connect with others.
