Hair Stylist (Hair Systems and Hairpiece Services)

Position Overview:

Hairpiece Warehouse is a small, growing e-commerce business specializing in high-quality hair replacement products, including men's hair systems/toupees and wigs. We are seeking a licensed Hair Stylist to provide haircut and styling services on hairpieces based on customer specifications before the unit is shipped. This role is not performed directly on customers . Instead, you will work on hair systems in our shop, following detailed order instructions. You may also support light administrative and workflow tasks as needed. This position is ideal for an entry-level to mid-level licensed stylist who is confident in men's haircutting and styling and interested in learning the hair system industry.

Responsibilities:

Review customer notes and consult details to understand haircut/style requirements for each hairpiece order. Cut and style hair systems to customer specifications (men's haircuts and styles). Perform chemical services on hairpieces, including permanent wave/curl solutions (and hair color/dye services in the future, as needed). Recommend suitable styles based on photos, face shape, and customer requests (phone/email consultation support as needed). Ensure consistent quality, cleanliness, and accuracy before orders are shipped. Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and supplies. Assist with basic administrative tasks related to service orders (documentation, notes, coordination with operations team). Support process improvements and help keep service workflow running smoothly. What You'll Need to

Succeed:

Active cosmetology/barber license (Maryland) and ability to perform haircutting services professionally. Entry-level to mid-level experience with men's haircutting and styling. Comfort working with hairpieces/hair systems (training provided if new to this industry). Experience with chemical services such as perms/curls (hair system experience is a plus). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific customer instructions. Reliable, professional, and able to manage time across multiple orders. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with a small business.
