Role:
At The Quin Hair Salon & Spa, a Team Stylist is more than a hairstylist—you are a key part of creating a quintessential guest experience. This role is designed for stylists who are motivated to grow, build a strong clientele, and thrive in a supportive, team-driven environment. As a Team Stylist, you will deliver high-quality hair services while prioritizing connection, consistency, and continuous improvement. You'll work alongside a collaborative team, participate in ongoing education, and receive guidance through regular check-ins to help you reach your personal and professional goals. This role is ideal for someone who is coachable, driven, and excited to grow within a structured system. You take ownership of your business behind the chair while contributing to a positive, no-drama culture that values encouragement, accountability, and success as a team. Responsibilities:
Guest Experience Deliver a quintessential salon experience from consultation to final result Provide high-quality hair services with consistency and attention to detail Build genuine relationships with clients to encourage retention and referrals Ensure each guest feels welcomed, heard, and confident when they leave. Service & Performance Maintain a booked and productive schedule Meet or work toward service and retail goals Recommend and educate clients on professional products and at-home care Continuously improve technical skills and service offerings Team & Culture Contribute to a positive, no-gossip, team-focused environment Support and encourage fellow stylists and team members Be reliable, punctual, and respectful of shared spaces Participate in team meetings and salon initiatives Growth & Development Attend monthly One-on-One / High-Five Check-Ins Actively participate in continuing education and training opportunities Be open to coaching, feedback, and personal development Set and track personal goals for growth behind the chair Brand & Marketing Maintain a consistent social media presence (approx. 3 posts/week) Promote personal work while aligning with The Quin brand Participate in salon marketing efforts, events, and promotions Build personal clientele through both in-salon and online presence Salon Standards Maintain a clean, organized station and shared areas Follow all sanitation, safety, and state board regulations Properly manage tools, products, and inventory usage Represent The Quin professionally in appearance and communication Ownership Mindset Take responsibility for your schedule, productivity, and growth Show initiative in building your business within the salon Communicate proactively with leadership and team members Be solution-oriented and contribute to the overall success of
The Quin Minimum Requirements:
Active Missouri Cosmetology License (in good standing) Strong foundation in basic hair services (cutting, coloring, styling, and finishing) Commitment to delivering a high-quality guest experience Willingness to learn, grow, and follow The Quin's systems and service standards Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and apply coaching Reliable, punctual, and professional in both appearance and communication Comfortable with client consultation and product recommendations Willing to participate in continuing education and monthly check-ins Basic understanding of social media use for business growth (or willingness to learn) Ability to work in a team-oriented, positive, no-drama environment Preferred (Not Required, But a Plus) 1+ years behind-the-chair experience Existing clientele (not required—growth support provided) Experience with retail sales or product knowledge Passion for personal branding and building a business
