Position Summary The Boho Hair Stylist Assistant plays an important role in supporting the stylists and helping the salon run smoothly throughout the day. This position is perfect for someone who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced, positive salon environment and is eager to learn and grow into a long-term career in the beauty industry. Responsibilities Assist stylists during appointments, including shampooing, blow drying, toning, mixing color, and prepping clients as directed Maintain a clean, organized, and professional salon environment Support daily salon operations including laundry, sanitation, stocking supplies, and resetting stations Greet clients warmly and help create an elevated salon experience Support the team wherever needed throughout the day Learn Boho's service standards, systems, and client experience expectations Participate in education and training opportunities Show initiative and a willingness to learn and grow Skills & Requirements Valid New Jersey cosmetology license or currently enrolled in cosmetology school/apprenticeship program preferred Passion for the beauty industry and desire to grow into a stylist role Strong work ethic and positive attitude Friendly, professional, and dependable Strong communication and listening skills Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Great culture fit with a team-first mindset Goal-oriented, coachable, and motivated to grow Detail-oriented and willing to take initiative What We Offer Generous commission rates Bonus opportunities Employee discount Professional development and hands-on education led by our Master Stylist Educators and Mentors Opportunity for growth within the Boho team Supportive and positive salon culture

Boho Academy:

Apprentices are required to participate in our Boho Academy Education Program. Classes are mentored by some of our very own Master Stylists, and they take place on select Sundays and other weekdays throughout the month. Classes are mandatory, as we want to invest in those who are looking to invest in themselves. Our ideal candidate is motivated to grow into a talented stylist!
