Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations according to salon protocols. Use salon software for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking. Engage clients with excellent communication skills to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services. Upsell retail products such as hair care items and accessories to boost sales while ensuring client satisfaction. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling payments efficiently. Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, coloring, and styling to foster a collaborative environment. Stay current on industry trends by participating in ongoing training related to hair styling, barbering techniques, and new product launches. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in a professional salon or barbershop setting. Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and special treatments like hair extensions. Strong understanding of sanitation practices and safety standards within the salon environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships. Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math calculations. Ability to manage store operations or assist with store management tasks when needed.
