Responsibilities Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions using advanced techniques such as balayage or ombre. Utilize salon software like Vagaro for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations. Offer personalized consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable hair care products or treatments. Upsell retail products such as hair care items to meet client needs while boosting salon revenue. Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair care, or barbering techniques while fostering a positive team environment. Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments efficiently. Stay current with industry trends in color theory, new styling methods, and product innovations to provide cutting-edge services. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in diverse hair styling techniques. Strong knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Skilled in hair extensions application, color correction and makeup artistry. Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and understand their desired outcomes. Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Experience with store management tasks such as inventory control and retail math calculations is a plus. Knowledge of advanced techniques.
