The ideal candidate is passionate about hair, takes pride in their work, and provides an excellent client experience from start to finish. You'll be responsible for creating quality braided styles based on each client's desired look while maintaining a clean, professional, and welcoming environment. This is a paid position with opportunities to grow your clientele, strengthen your skills, and build with our team. Responsibilities Create a variety of braided hairstyles, including box braids, knotless braids, cornrows, feed-ins, twists, and other protective styles. Consult with clients to understand their desired style and recommend options based on their hair type and needs. Properly prep, section, braid, and style hair while maintaining quality and consistency. Provide basic hair-care and maintenance recommendations to clients. Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and properly sanitize tools and equipment. Provide professional, friendly, and attentive customer service. Maintain appointment schedules and client information using salon scheduling software. Recommend appropriate hair-care products and accessories when relevant. Assist with maintaining salon organization, inventory, and daily operations. Follow all salon policies, safety standards, and applicable licensing requirements. Qualifications Previous experience as a professional hair braider, stylist, or cosmetologist. Strong braiding skills and knowledge of protective styling techniques. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality results. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable, punctual, professional, and able to work well independently and with a team. Comfortable working with a diverse range of hair textures and client preferences. Ability to maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards. Cosmetology or barbering license/certification is preferred where required. Must have a professional attitude and a commitment to creating a great client experience.
