Full Job Description Job Title:

Assistant Stylist → Commissioned Stylist (Growth Path) About the role: Trendy Hair Studio is hiring a driven stylist to join our team with a clear path to grow from assistant stylist to a fully commissioned stylist with an option to rent. You'll start by assisting and servicing alongside the owner while you build your own clientele, then transition to your own chair as you grow. What you'll do Assist the owner with client services while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Perform professional color services:

single process, highlights, and color formulation. Deliver exceptional blowouts and finishing services. Consult with guests, recommend services/home care, and rebook to build retention. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment. Proactively market yourself to build and bring in new clients. What we're looking for Minimum 1 year of hands-on salon experience applying color, doing highlights, and formulating color. Strong blowout/finishing skills with attention to detail and consistency. Positive, team-first attitude; reliable, coachable, and client-focused. Strong communication and a passion for growing a book of business. Current cosmetology license (state-specific). Compensation & growth Paid as a commissioned stylist for any services you assist with. Salon provides all tools and products while you're in the assistant program—no kit needed. Structured build period of up to one year to grow your clientele. After building your book, choose your path: Remain a commissioned stylist, with the potential for a higher commission rate on your personal clients once you've established a strong clientele base.
