Immediately Job Description Poteet ISD is accepting applications for the position of Cosmetology Teacher. All interested individuals must submit and application along with the required documentation. Qualifications are as follows:JOB DESCRIPTION
The Career Technology Teacher, under the supervision of the Principal, provides students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in school and society.EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree or higher
- Current license as a Cosmetology Instructor issued by the Texas Department of Licensure and Regulation.
- Trade and Industrial Education Certification with approval to teach Cosmetology or be eligible to enroll in an approved teacher preparation program to teach Cosmetology.
- Five (5) years direct work experience in the field (required).
- Experience in providing training or instruction (preferred).
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
