We are known for quality work, consistency, and a professional salon environment. We offer structured growth, clear expectations, and quarterly reviews so braiders always know where they stand and how to advance.

Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled, professional Hair Braiders to join our growing team. This is a commission-based role with a clearly defined skill-based growth path. New braiders who are onboarding without an established TBL clientele may be eligible for a temporary hourly training guarantee during their initial onboarding period. Compensation Commission-based pay Temporary hourly training guarantee available for new braiders Hourly rate is based on starting skill level and service ability Guarantee is short-term and designed to support onboarding Automatically ends once onboarding is complete This guarantee is offered at management discretion and is not permanent hourly employment. What You'll Do Braiding & Service Quality Perform approved braiding services based on your skill level Maintain clean parting, proper tension, and neat finishes Complete services within expected timeframes Deliver a professional, high-quality client experience Service Scope Maintain the services you are approved to offer Communicate any temporary or permanent service limitations Uphold quality standards across all services Professional Standards Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts Participate in daily huddles and required staff meetings Maintain a clean, organized workstation Communicate schedule availability clearly and in advance Braider Levels & Growth Braiders at The Braid Lounge are placed into Braider Levels based on technical skill, service consistency, and quality.

Braider Levels determine:

Pay structure Client-facing title Approved services Levels are reviewed quarterly Levels remain stable as long as services and quality standards are maintained Advancement is based on consistent skill demonstration Performance metrics do not affect Braider Level or base commission.
