We're not just looking for someone who can cut hair. We're looking for a barber who takes pride in their work, takes care of themselves, takes care of their clients, and takes care of the shop. Responsibilities Provide high-quality haircuts, fades, tapers, beard services, and grooming services Consult with clients to understand their desired style and provide professional recommendations Deliver consistent, quality service and create a great client experience Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Properly sanitize tools and equipment according to Virginia regulations Maintain a professional appearance and attitude Build and maintain strong relationships with clients Work consistently to build and retain clientele Promote your services and help promote the barbershop Communicate professionally with clients and team members Be dependable and punctual Follow shop policies, standards, and expectations Contribute to a positive, respectful, team-oriented shop environment Take responsibility for your station, your clients, your performance, and your part in the success of the business Skills Required Current Virginia barber or cosmetology license Strong knowledge of modern barbering techniques Proficiency in fades, tapers, clipper cuts, shear work, beard shaping, and lineups Strong attention to detail Good communication and customer-service skills Ability to work with a diverse clientele Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player Time-management and organizational skills Professional attitude and appearance Willingness to learn, improve, and stay current with trends Ability to build relationships and develop a loyal clientele Strong work ethic and personal accountability The Right Candidate We want barbers with effort, character, and ambition—not just someone looking for a chair.
