Position Summary:
Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Administrative Aide- Cosmetology on our Fond du Lac Campus.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical and clerical support to the Cosmetology department, including performing a wide variety of office functions and assisting with special projects and events. Monitor current inventory and reorder depleted products for both auxiliary (salon) and instructional areas, working in conjunction with the faculty on product types. Meet with product vendors. Monitor and coordinate product distribution to and by students assigned to the dispensary. Compile and maintain student attendance and activity records. Orient and review student receptionists in greeting the public, scheduling appointments, and collecting revenue. Coordinate point of sale register and services pricing. Review daily receipts and deposit revenues with Registrar's Office. Maintain appointments, revenues, and products for nail classes. Assign students to their daily tasks on the clinical floor, under the direction of faculty. Maintain a database of and secure adjunct instructors when needed and process payroll information. Provide input on instructor and class schedules. Draft adjunct instructor contracts and substitution contracts. Experience & Qualifications (in addition to those listed in the summary above) : Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer satisfaction. Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction. Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.Desired Qualifications:
Associate degree in Business Administration, or a related field. Administrative Assistant, Cosmetology, and/or salon experience. Experience with Banner or other student administration systems.Hiring Range:
$21.23- 24.
