Located in South Minneapolis, our facility is committed to delivering compassionate and professional support to our residents. Our senior living community is seeking a compassionate, customer-focused Part-Time Beautician to provide salon services for our residents. This is an opportunity to use your professional skills while building meaningful relationships with older adults in a warm, service-oriented setting. You will have the use of two professional salon spaces for your use. This is a contractor position. Position Details Independent contractor position, approximately 15-20 hours per week Provide resident-focused hair services including cuts, perms, shampoos, sets, styling, and occasional color services Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized salon environment Coordinate appointments and communicate respectfully with residents, families, and team members Deliver patient, individualized service that supports residents' dignity, confidence, and well-being The beautician will receive payment for all services from the facility Resident service prices range from $25 to $90, helping ensure salon services remain accessible and affordable for residents Required Qualifications Must hold a current, active Minnesota cosmetology license Must be eligible to work as an independent/private contractor Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for serving older adults Patience, kindness, and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents Dependable, professional, and able to work independently Must pass a background study Preferred Qualifications Experience providing salon services to older adults Understanding of memory care and dementia-related needs Ability to adapt communication and services for residents with cognitive, physical, or sensory limitations Why Join Us?
