Shampoo Assistant

Looking for a Shampoo Assistant, license a bonus, but not necessary. Training will be provided for our busy salon and spa located at Hair Apropos in Chalfont, PA. Pay is negotiable and starts at $15 / hour + cash tips. A Shampoo Assistant helps support our stylists and ensures clients have a positive experience.

Typical duties include:

Client Services Greet clients and escort them to the shampoo area. Shampoo and Condition hair according to salon procedures Perform a relaxing scalp massage during the shampoo service. Rinse hair treatments, color, and chemical services. Apply conditioning / or treatment products as directed. Salon Support Prepare clients for haircuts, styling, and color services Keep shampoo stations clean, sanitized, and stocked. Launder towels, capes, and salon and spa linens Sweep floors and maintain cleanliness throughout the salon Refill foils/and backbar products as needed Clean color bowls / brushes etc in the color room Empty trash at the end of the night and refill coffee cups/water as needed Sweep the entire salon floor at the end of the evening to get ready for the next day Customer Experience Offer beverages and ensure client comfort Assist with check-in and scheduling when needed Promote salon products and services when appropriate Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere Skills Needed Strong customer service skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of basic hair care products and scalp health Good communication and teamwork skills Attentiona to cleanliness and sanitation standards
