We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Float Spa Team Lead to lead our newly opening floatation therapy spa in Alexandria, VA. As the Float Spa Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the spa operations, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and promoting a culture of wellness and relaxation. This individual is in charge of proper implementation of all company policies and procedures, while meeting the highest of brand standards. They will oversee all personnel in the location and are responsible for the ongoing education, training, and development of personnel. The Manager is the point of contact when the individual site needs support or assistance regarding any comments, suggestions, or issues pertaining to the spa. The manager should possess the highest level of knowledge on location sales/marketing, facility maintenance, and Pod maintenance/chemical analysis, and should demonstrate that knowledge through leadership and support of their team. The Manager's areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Staffing Determine staffing needs and hiring strategy to ensure adequate coverage of hours and maintain quality guest experience Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members Perform ongoing staff training and evaluations Conduct performance reviews twice per year Maintain employee personnel folders Review staff incidents and infractions to determine corrective actions and/or discipline Set and monitor goals with the team 2. Team Scheduling Create bi-weekly schedule to support adequate coverage for daily operations using Zoomshift Update and revise schedules, time off requests and shift swaps as needed Manage payroll, hours, and team members clocking in/out Includes tracking correct hours and correcting late, missed, or duplicate entries 3. Oversight of float consultants Meet with Spa Manager and owners weekly to review operations, maintenance, inventory, membership status, and promotions Review weekly report at the start of each week Oversee weekly team communications via email 4. Marketing and Promotions Educate staff on all current marketing and promotions Track sales and promotions for ROI and bonuses Oversee in-house and off-site events, including involvement in local Chambers of Commerce and/or networking groups 5. Location Growth and Sales Work directly with owners to outline, manage, and execute key sales milestones Milestone targets should include goals for membership conversion rates and gross sales Implement Corporate-provided marketing tools, as well as create new initiatives to stimulate growth Review P&L weekly to ensure the location maintains healthy margins and meets monthly goals
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a spa or wellness center. Strong customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of float therapy or other holistic wellness practices. Ability to manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and scheduling. Experience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Passion for promoting health and wellness.
