Job Description

The Fulton Theatre is seeking applicants for
Full-Time Stitcher/Dresser:
Work with the wardrobe supervisor during pre-production to organize, build, repair, and prepare all costumes and wardrobe materials for the production. Set up and run quick changes during productions. Assist actors with changing costumes during productions. Collect and do laundry after each performance Work with a team to handle maintenance of costumes during production run. Additional hours at the costume shop between show runs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Costume Shop Manager, Wardrobe Supervisor, and the Production Team to prep costumes and wardrobe packages for all performance venues. Assist in construction of and alterations to costumes Help to organize, inventory, label, and load out all costumes and wardrobe materials for all performances. Assist with seeing that the costume designs are maintained with artistic integrity through the production. Work with the Stage Manager and production staff during technical rehearsals to incorporate last minute changes. Become knowledgeable with all Fulton Theatre policies and procedures. Work with the entire team to maintain a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment for all staff and guests. Other duties as assigned. Education, Skill + Work Experience Requirements Experience as a theatrical technician, specifically a wardrobe position Strong sewing and construction skills - Working knowledge of Excel and Google Drive - or ability to pick it up quickly. Ability to work alongside the production staff as a team member in an ever-changing environment. Ability to work independently with self-motivation and attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize and solve practical problems and resolve issues. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form. Commitment to working with and in cross-functional teams. Work Environment Fast-paced work environment. Frequent long intervals of walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Evening and weekend work.
