JOB TITLE
Box Office AttendantDEPARTMENT INFORMATION
The Box Office in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts is the first contact point for students, faculty, staff, and patrons who have questions about performing arts events. The Box Office provides ticketing services and event information for all Buchanan Center Special Events, Music and Theatre & Dance performances as well as other University/outside entities.Job location:
Buchanan Center for Performing Arts Pay rate or range: $11.00 - $16.00 per hourJOB PURPOSE
Provide ticketing and event information in person, over the phone, and online for all Buchanan Center performances. Help support all functions of the Box Office.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process ticket orders with the Tix ticketing software
- Answer phone calls for ticket purchases and performance information
- Operate under PCI compliance rules and procedures for credit card transactions
- Count back change under Box Office cash handling procedures
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all patrons
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in a customer service or box office role
- Prior cash handling experience
