Kennel Assistant Southern Hound Club - Valdosta, GA The Southern Hound Club is a premier luxury boarding, playcare, and training center in Valdosta, and we're expanding our team! At Southern Hound Club, we're in the business of building relationships — with both dogs and their parents. We're looking for someone who is not only crazy about dogs but also genuinely enjoys working with clients and being part of a positive, team-oriented environment. Schedule Monday-Friday Holidays required Occasional weekends Part-time and full time opportunity available. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to... Greeting clients upon arrival and sending them off with a warm farewell Supervising and participating in outdoor playgroups Scooping play yards and maintaining clean, safe outdoor spaces Cleaning indoor accidents promptly Bathing dogs and performing nail trims Setting up kennels for arrivals and deep cleaning after departures Cleaning and sanitizing kennel areas Feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed Maintaining a safe environment for dogs and staff And most importantly — playing with dogs! Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Ability to lift 40 lbs independently (more with assistance) Dependable and self-motivated Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Previous animal husbandry experience is a plus, but not required If you're hardworking, dependable, and passionate about dogs and customer service, we'd love to hear from you!
