Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Wax Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the waxing services department, ensuring exceptional client experiences and maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and professionalism. As a leader in our salon, you will inspire and guide a team of skilled estheticians and beauty professionals, fostering a positive environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and excellence. Your expertise in body waxing, skincare treatments, and customer service will drive our mission to deliver top-tier beauty solutions with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all waxing services, including body waxing, hair threading, eyelash extensions, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, dermabrasion, makeup application, nail care, and other esthetic procedures. Train and mentor team members on proper techniques, sanitation protocols, and customer service standards to ensure consistent quality. Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms to optimize client flow and maximize service efficiency. Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace adhering to all health regulations and safety standards to ensure client safety and comfort. Provide personalized consultations to clients to recommend suitable treatments based on their individual needs and skin types. Promote retail sales of skincare products, beauty tools, and related items to enhance client results and increase revenue. Foster a welcoming environment by delivering exceptional customer service that builds loyalty and encourages repeat visits. Experience Proven experience in retail sales within a salon or spa setting with a strong understanding of skincare products. Hands-on expertise in body waxing techniques along with knowledge of esthetic laser treatments and other advanced skincare procedures. Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar systems for scheduling and client management. Skilled in hair threading, eyelash extensions, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, dermabrasion, makeup application, barbering, nail care, and sanitation practices. Strong background in cosmetology or related licensing requirements; additional certifications in body waxing or advanced esthetic treatments are preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create positive client experiences. Ability to lead by example while motivating team members to achieve their best performance in a fast-paced environment.
