Perform functional testing and ensure proper fit, form, and function of assemblies and components. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, work instructions, process specifications, and technical documentation. Utilize precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and shop mathematics to complete assigned work. Assemble components into subassemblies and final assemblies using approved tooling and equipment. Verify completed work meets engineering, process, and quality requirements, and identify discrepancies when found. Perform aircraft skin repairs, hand forming, burnishing, blending, and finishing operations to engineering tolerances. Apply protective coatings, metal polishing, isoscope inspections, and other surface finishing processes. Perform drilling, disassembly, and reassembly activities to access and complete repairs. Ensure tools and equipment are properly certified and maintained according to procedures. Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and machinery. Move products and materials throughout the manufacturing area using approved equipment. Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and production flow activities. Cross-train in inspection functions and work toward SIA qualification. Assist in training and mentoring other assembly personnel on assembly, installation, repair, and inspection techniques. Support assembly, installation, structures, sub-assembly, and sealing operations as required. Must have 5+ years of Skin quality
  • hand form, burnish, repair experience Perform process activities
  • protective coatings, metal polishing of aircraft details, isoscope, etc. to support the production requirements Perform hand finishing operations
  • blending of multiple adjacent MDD surfaces into engineering tolerances and/or perform transition work to bring details parts in accordance with engineering tolerances Perform drilling and disassembly to gain access to area of repair Selected workers will work 2nd shift primarily.
However, must be ready to work any shift/OT/weekends as needed Must be able to stand and work for entire 8 hr. shift Must be able to start within 2 weeks after offer acceptance Must clear the background checks Need to do Boeing re-hire checks before offer acceptance if your candidate was a former Boeing worker #jsfirm
