Immediately Job Description The Aesthetics and Skin Care Instructor provides comprehensive instruction to adult learners enrolled in a post-secondary Aesthetics and Skin Care program at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School. The instructor prepares students for entry-level employment and Massachusetts licensure by delivering theory, practical, and clinical instruction aligned with Massachusetts regulations and current industry standards. The instructor is responsible for providing high-quality classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction that supports student success while maintaining compliance with all applicable program and accreditation standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in aesthetics/skin care.
  • Deliver curriculum including, but not limited to: Skin anatomy and physiology Skin analysis and consultation Facial treatments and skincare techniques Hair removal methods (waxing, tweezing, threading, as applicable) Makeup application and color theory Electricity and equipment (as permitted by Massachusetts regulations) Infection control, sanitation, and safety Professional ethics, client relations, and scope of practice Business practices, retailing, and workplace readiness Massachusetts aesthetics laws, rules, and regulations • Utilize the district's instructional technology platforms to support student learning, communication, assignments, and assessment, as appropriate.
  • Supervise and evaluate students in hands-on laboratory and student clinic environments.
  • Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with program competencies.
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, attendance, and documentation.
  • Prepare students for the Massachusetts Aesthetics Licensure Examination.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Participate in program evaluation, accreditation activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with administration, instructors, instructional technology staff, and student support personnel.
  • Stay current with industry trends, products, educational practices, and regulatory changes.
