JOB SUMMARY
As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. BASIC FUNCTION
Perform facials, make-up applications and waxing services on guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK
EXPERIENCE
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Licensed by Department of Safety and Professional Services, Esthetician or Cosmetologist.
  • Must have undergone the state requirements for licensing in related area
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, or sit for an entire shift. Communicate verbally.
  • One-year previous experience.
  • CPR certification preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Must be proficient in all facets of proper skin care i.e., anatomy, physiology, chemistry, masks, packs, cleansing, massage, and superfluous hair removal.
  • Consult with the guest to analyze skin type and facial treatment required to ensure expectations are met for a pleasurable visit, may include site tour.
  • Cross-trained to perform all services such as body and hydrotherapy treatments, per licensing.
  • Prepare facial and waxing equipment, treatment areas and supplies daily, sterilize all instruments in accordance to the law, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and have full range of motion, no physical limitations.
  • On-time attendance is necessary, and uninterrupted work is required.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
  • Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime, or reduced hours.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the salon area, and rest of the Spa/Gym area as needed.
  • Keep the Treatment Rooms fully stocked of all supplies.
  • Attend product knowledge training as required.
  • Keep current and up to date knowledge of changing trends and developments in the department.
  • Respond to any special projects requested by the Spa Leadership team.
