Job Description
Transfer Care Specialist (On-Call) We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional Transfer Care Specialist to assist with the respectful transportation of decedents from residences, hospitals, nursing facilities, hospice facilities, and medical examiner offices to our crematory. This is an on-call contract position offering flexible scheduling and an excellent opportunity for supplemental income. We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, professional, and comfortable working independently. Compensation $100 per completed transfer Most transfers take approximately 1-1.5 hours Approximately 25 transfer opportunities per month Company vehicle and transfer equipment provided Excellent opportunity for flexible, supplemental income or a second job Schedule On-call during scheduled availability Day, evening, overnight, and weekend opportunities available Flexible scheduling based on availability and business needs Responsibilities Respond promptly to transfer requests Safely and respectfully transport decedents Communicate professionally with hospitals, nursing staff, hospice staff, and families Complete transfer documentation accurately Maintain a professional appearance and respectful demeanor Follow proper safety and lifting procedures Qualifications Ability to lift and maneuver at least 150 pounds Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently Professional, compassionate, and respectful attitude Experience in funeral service, EMS, medical transport, or healthcare is preferred but not required The Ideal Candidate This position is ideal for someone who: Remains calm and composed in sensitive situations Takes pride in professionalism and reliability Is seeking a flexible, on-call opportunity Has an interest in funeral service or mortuary care Is physically capable and committed to providing dignified care We welcome applicants from funeral service, EMS, healthcare, transportation, military, or other service-oriented backgrounds. Training and orientation will be provided for the right candidate.
