Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information University Athletics - Athletic Equipment Job Summary The Student Assistant will support University Athletics as an Athletic Equipment Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Assists with receiving, inventorying, distributing, and retrieving all materials for staff and athletes as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Equipment Manager(s) Throws and catches a football at 20 yards and a baseball or softball 60 feet Practices assignments that include working directly with a coach Assists with laundry, packing for team travel, setting up locker rooms & cleaning of equipment Possible travel with the team for road games (seniority-based) Shift Specifics Up to 20 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Monday - Friday and possibly weekends Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
