Overview Join our dedicated team as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, professional funeral services to families during their most difficult times. This dynamic position combines the art of funeral directing with the science of physiology and anatomy, ensuring that every detail is handled with dignity, respect, and precision. You will coordinate all aspects of funeral arrangements, from initial contact through final disposition, while offering bereavement support and guidance to grieving families. Your expertise will help create meaningful memorial experiences that honor loved ones and bring comfort to those left behind. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee funeral services, including planning, logistics, and execution to ensure seamless ceremonies that meet families' wishes. Provide compassionate bereavement support, guiding families through grief with empathy and understanding. Manage all aspects of transportation, including heavy lifting of caskets and equipment, ensuring safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout. Conduct detailed dissection or anatomical preparations when necessary for viewing or educational purposes, demonstrating thorough knowledge of physiology and anatomy. Ensure all sanitation and cosmetology procedures are followed meticulously to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Assist with sales activities by explaining service options, product offerings, and customizing packages to meet individual needs. Plan and organize memorial events or community outreach initiatives that foster connection and support for grieving families. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to assist with embalming, dissection, or restorative work. Proven experience in funeral directing combined with excellent customer service skills to support families compassionately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to sanitation protocols; physically fit for demanding tasks. Expertise in bereavement support techniques to help families cope during difficult times. Skilled event planner capable of coordinating funeral services, memorials, or community events with precision. Knowledge of cosmetology practices for restorative work on the deceased's appearance. Effective sales skills to communicate service options clearly and empathetically while guiding families through choices. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
