What You'll Be Doing Responsible for various duties, including embalming, dressing, and applying cosmetics. Meet with families for cosmetic interviews and adjustments and complete the necessary paperwork. Uphold Forest Lawn's quality and ethical service standards while safeguarding the dignity of human remains. Current valid California Embalmer License. Completed an apprenticeship and licensed to perform duties as a Licensed Embalmer as defined by the State of California. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Mortuary Science or Embalming. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Valid California Driver's License, including state-required levels of active auto insurance. Ability to lift 100 lbs. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
