Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of funeral services with professionalism and care. This role involves meeting with families to plan arrangements, organizing and directing services, preparing the deceased, and ensuring all legal and administrative requirements are met. You will play a key role in supporting grieving families and maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with families to plan and arrange funeral and memorial services Coordinate and direct funeral ceremonies and related activities Oversee the preparation, care, and presentation of the deceased Ensure all documentation, permits, and legal requirements are completed accurately and promptly Collaborate effectively with funeral home staff to ensure smooth service operations Provide emotional support and guidance to families throughout the process Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing funeral service operations
Qualifications:
Degree in Mortuary Science Valid state licensure as a Funeral Director and Embalmer Proven experience in funeral service arrangement and direction Strong communication skills , demonstrating empathy and professionalism Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain records, and ensure regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in grief counseling or aftercare services Knowledge of diverse cultural and religious funeral practices Proficiency in funeral management software and related administrative tools
