We are seeking an experienced, Kentucky-licensed Funeral Director who is passionate about helping families during one of life's most important moments. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team environment where service excellence is the standard. Job Summary The Funeral Director will participate in removals, meeting families to help make loved one's final arrangements, prepare, and direct funeral services, and coordinate the delivery of remains to the funeral home and cemetery. The position will prepare remains for services and/or interment. The position includes overnight on-call rotation with evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays hours. Job Responsibilities:
Removals, which include working with family members, Medical Examiner, and Physicians. Following company standards by initiating Chain of Custody, personal effects documentation, etc. while making removals. Perform cosmetology and preparations. Counsel with and advise client families to arrange funerals, and supervise funeral service activities. Coordinate all service arrangements and details with clergy and other individuals or groups who may participate in the funeral service. Assist with pre-arranging client families with requested service arrangements, selection of funeral merchandise and other products, and financial arrangements.
Requirements:
Kentucky Funeral Director license Valid Driver's License Excellent work history and good driving record Previous customer service and/or sales experience would be a definite asset Knowledge of computers and some software would be an asset, or a willingness to learn High level of compassion and integrity Good communication and problem-solving skills Professional and team player Minimum of 2 years experience
