Full-time About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Funeral Director to join a well-established organization dedicated to providing personalized and meaningful funeral services. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting families during difficult times while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage all aspects of funeral services in accordance with families' wishes Provide empathetic guidance and support to families throughout the funeral planning process Prepare and embalm remains in compliance with industry standards and regulations Oversee service arrangements, including visitations, memorials, and burials/cremations Ensure all documentation and processes comply with New Jersey state regulations Collaborate with internal staff to ensure smooth and seamless service execution Maintain a high level of professionalism, dignity, and respect in all interactions Qualifications & Requirements Valid Funeral Director license in the state of New Jersey (mandatory) Proven experience in embalming and funeral home operations Strong background in family services with a compassionate approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service orientation with attention to detail Knowledge of state laws and compliance standards related to funeral services Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends What We're Looking For Empathy and emotional intelligence Professionalism and ethical integrity Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Commitment to delivering meaningful and respectful services
