East Anchorage Animal Hospital has a part time position available for a Boarding Kennel technician to join our team. Prior experience is a plus, but not required The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets. Kennel Technician Duties General care for the dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, medicating, exercising, baths, nail trims. Cleaning and disinfecting boarding runs and other areas of the boarding and hospital areas and laundry. Taking charge to make sure all tasks get completed correctly and in a timely manner Other miscellaneous duties to keep the facility working smoothly and the dogs and cats calm, happy & safe Assisting doctors and technicians when necessary. Requirements Patient, with genuine compassion, concern, and respect for animals Dependable with a strong work ethic. Be able to communicate clearly with clients Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Be physically capable to work on your feet, and able to bend. Have reliable transportation. Must be 18 years old. Previous animal handling experience and knowledge is a plus but not required. Boarding hours are 6:30am-6:30pm each day, split between 2 shifts. Weekend and Holiday availability required.
