Bring Your Energy! Perks Benefits package, Health Insurance, PTO, Marriott Employee Rates As a Laundry Attendant at Courtyard, you will play a crucial role in our "Heart of the House" operations. You are responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and public spaces have a continuous supply of clean, fresh, and high-quality linens. This role focuses heavily on efficiency, attention to detail, and maintaining Marriott brand standards.
Responsibilities:
Linen Processing:
Sort, wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens, including sheets, towels, and food service linens according to exact Marriott Courtyard brand specifications.
Quality Control:
Inspect linens for damages, tears, or heavy stains, treating or discarding items that do not meet quality standards.
Inventory & Support:
Stock housekeeping carts and linen closets throughout the hotel to support room attendants and housepersons. Assist management with routine counts.
Equipment Care:
Safely operate industrial washers and dryers using correct cycle settings. Clean lint traps, vent screens, and drain traps regularly.
Chemical Safety:
Safely handle, measure, and replenish detergents and specialized cleaning agents.
Workspace Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room environment by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
Supervision and Teamwork:
Follow the direction and work instructions of your supervisor to meet daily productivity goals, and wrap up operational tasks by reporting to your supervisor at the close of each day.
Requirements:
Reliability:
Strong dependability with a proven track record of excellent attendance and punctual arrival for scheduled shifts, including opening and closing the day with your direct supervisor.
Professional Appearance:
Maintain a crisp, clean appearance by adhering to hotel grooming and uniform standards, and proudly wearing your nametag to represent the brand professionally.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously for an 8-hour shift.
Physical Strength:
Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy linen carts weighing up to 50 lbs.
Schedule Flexibility:
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Detail-Oriented:
Ability to spot stains/tears and maintain consistency in folding and presentation.
Experience:
Prior laundry or hospitality experience is preferred, but we will fully train the right candidate. Marriott experience a plus!
