The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the cleaning and organization of all hotel guest room linen and terry. Coordinates with Housekeeping on inventory levels of all linen and terry to ensure availability. Responsibilities Receives soiled linens from laundry carts and inspects for stains and damages. Sort, Wash, Dry, Fold dirty linen and terry and properly store clean linen. (Requires loading and unloading heavy, wet laundry to and from Washer and dryers. Coordinate and distribute all cleaned linen and terry for housekeeping. Stock all cleaned linen and terry in appropriate areas Monitor daily inventories of linen and terry to meet needs of hotel Replenish laundry supplies from storage as directed. Keep the laundry area clean and organized which includes sweeping and mopping of floors in laundry area. Maintain the cleanliness of washers and dryers (cleaning lint trays and dryer vents regularly, wiping machines inside/outside) Maintain cleanliness of guest coin washer and dryer. Cleaning all exterior door windows including front door windows and mopping elevator/vending area. Assists in other areas of housekeeping as needed Specific Job Knowledge / Skills Must be able to understand, read, write and speak basic English and communicate with others. Must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation. Must be available to work flexible shifts Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work without constant supervision. Physical Demands Must have the physical ability to walk, bend and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, warm temperature and not be allergic to dust. Must regularly lift and/or move wet laundry up to 10 (+) pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

Qualification Standards:

High school education or equivalent is preferred. Some related experience or training preferred. Must be able to work in team environment
