Duties Operate garment care machines, including industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment, following manufacturer instructions and safety protocols. Handle laundry materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, washing, drying, and folding of textiles to maintain garment integrity. Use appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents while adhering to safety standards in production environments. Manage heavy lifting tasks safely using push carts or other equipment to transport linens and garments efficiently. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning work areas, equipment, and supplies to prevent contamination or cross-infection. Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies such as laundry detergents and textiles for easy access and replenishment. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. Experience Previous experience in laundry services or textile cleaning is preferred, especially within hotel or hospitality settings. Familiarity with garment care machine operation, including industrial washers and dryers, is essential. Knowledge of sanitation procedures, safety standards in production environments, and proper handling of laundry chemicals is required. Basic math skills are necessary for measuring detergents and calculating load capacities accurately. Experience with dry cleaning processes or textile maintenance techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy loads is critical for success in this role. Prior exposure to customer service environments enhances communication skills necessary for interacting with guests or staff effectively.
