Laundry Coordinator
Job Description
Marana Detention Center | Marana, AZ $31.50 per hour | Full-time Directly supervises the laundry worker. Directs the work of detainees assigned to the laundry area. Responsible for planning laundering schedules, proper use and maintenance of equipment and maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives. Create time reports and records of all people employed in the laundry. Supervise operation of laundry equipment. Performs routine and preventive maintenance on equipment. Perform test on wash formulas. Conduct training programs in all phases of laundry operation. Provide and conducts safety training programs for all laundry employees. Supervise the receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities, implements inventory control procedures. Supervise maintenance of related records and preparation for related reports. Supervise detainees assigned to assist in the laundry. Long periods of walking and standing required. What you will need High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in a laundry or supply related field, including experience in two or more of the following areas: quantity purchasing, receiving, inventory and shipping of supplies US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident required. Supervisory experience is highly desired. Must successfully complete required preservice training. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
