Duties Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and guest clothing items in accordance with hotel standards. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Conduct routine inspections of floors and surfaces, utilizing floor care techniques such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to ensure a pristine appearance. Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while performing heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or cleaning supplies. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly when necessary, ensuring guest safety at all times. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to public areas or laundry services, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience within the hospitality industry or similar environment. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling techniques. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and bending. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes and hotel emergency procedures is preferred. Prior experience with hotel housekeeping or custodial responsibilities is highly desirable.
