13 weeks with a possibility of extension

Expected Shift:

Day 5×8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) Summary /

Duties:

The Laundry Helper supports daily linen operations at Sutter Roseville Medical Center by collecting, transporting, stocking, and distributing clean and soiled linen throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include maintaining appropriate linen levels, responding to department needs, organizing linen storage areas, handling carts, and following established sanitation, infection prevention, and safety procedures. The role requires frequent movement throughout the facility and the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with linen handling and distribution. This position works onsite in a patient-care environment on an AM shift under the Day Non-Exempt 8/80 schedule. The Laundry Helper works closely with Linen Services and hospital departments to support timely, consistent, and organized linen availability

Requirements:

1+ years of experience in linen services, laundry, environmental services, or a similar support role Experience with collecting, sorting, transporting, stocking, and distributing linen Ability to work onsite in an acute-care hospital environment Ability to work an AM shift under the Day Non-Exempt 8/80 work schedule Ability to safely handle linen carts and perform routine physical tasks throughout the shift Ability to follow infection prevention, sanitation, safety, and proper linen-handling procedures Ability to maintain accurate linen inventory and replenish assigned areas based on department needs Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and work as part of a linen services team

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with linen or laundry services in a hospital or healthcare setting Experience with hospital linen distribution and inventory workflows Familiarity with infection prevention practices related to clean and soiled linen Ability to prioritize requests and support multiple hospital departments in a fast-paced environment.
