Job Description
Job Summary The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, and folding hotel linens and towels to ensure a consistent supply of clean, high-quality items throughout the hotel. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong sense of cleanliness and organization. Key Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and towels according to hotel standards Operate and maintain commercial washing machines and dryers safely Monitor the automatic laundry chemical dispenser system and report any issues or low levels to management/maintenance Inspect linens and towels for stains, tears, or damage; set aside items needing repair or replacement Maintain accurate inventory counts of linens and supplies; report shortages to management Deliver clean linens and towels to housekeeping carts, storage areas, or designated departments in a timely manner Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions to maintenance Follow all hotel policies regarding lost-and-found items found in laundry Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper handling of equipment Qualifications Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred but not required Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment (training provided) Strong attention to detail and quality standards Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work efficiently under time constraints, especially during high-occupancy periods Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements Frequent standing, bending, and lifting Exposure to heat and steam from washing/drying equipment Repetitive motion (folding and sorting) Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication to cleanliness and textiles makes a tangible difference in our guests' experience.
