laundry assistant

As a Laundry Assistant at Allure of Knox County, you have an appreciation for helping others and know the value of organization vs. clutter. You will work alongside a hardworking dedicated team that cares. Our goal is to provide quality care through all services. This position gives you the opportunity to make a change in someone's life during your daily interactions with them.

Daily duties include:

Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, and folding clothing and other textile items. Inspecting laundered items for damage or needed repairs. Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures. Tracking which items belong to whom. Distributing those items to the proper locations Immediately notifying maintenance when repairs are needed on laundering equipment. Ensuring that the laundry area remains clean and organized at all times. You'll adhere to federal guidelines regarding safe chemical storage and safe chemical use, contamination and housing inspections. Strong communication skills are helpful as you'll work closely with your team and those you serve.
