Job Shift Varies Category Facilities Apply Description Job Summary :
Responsible for receiving and sending out clean and soiled linen. Distributes clean, usable linen to all areas of the hospital. Cleans all linen carts, the linen room and rotates all linen.
Job Responsibilities:
Exchange linen carts on a daily basis. Inspects each area to assure linen supplies are adequate to meet needs. Responds quickly to area needs for additional linen. Keeps accurate records of weight of all linen usage. Enters linen usage data into the computer. Reports any shortages of linen to the supervisor. Marks new linen, pillows or other supplies as needed. Estimates next days needs and faxes daily order to laundry service. Cleans linen carts and shelving.

Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills, able to work alone to accomplish tasks without constant supervision. Good communication skills.
