Position Summary To provide laundry services for the facility and residents under the supervision of the Laundry Services Supervisor and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Job Description

A. LAUNDRY SERVICES

Duties:

Performs all functions of the linen services to include collection, sorting, washing and drying of linen. To include counting, sorting and distribution of daily clean linen. To include laundry services for personal clothing of residents as requested. Handle linen services for other facility departments as required. Maintain the laundry room in a clean orderly manner.

B. SAFETY FUNCTIONS

Duties:

Understand and follows safety and infection control rules and promptly reports any violation to Supervisor. Adheres to facility dress code including use of personal protective equipment.

C. INSERVICE FUNCTIONS

Duties:

Attend orientation and in-service as required.

D. RESIDENTS' RIGHTS FUNCTIONS

Duties:

Understand, comply with and promote all rules regarding residents' rights; promote positive relationships with residents, visitors and regulators, to include a professional appearance and attitude. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with others. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
