Laundry Aide Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Aide to join our team at Wheaton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. As a Laundry Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility by collecting, washing, drying, and folding linens and garments. Responsibilities:
Assist in transporting laundry containers and clean linen carts Operate commercial and residential washing machines and dryers Load soiled linen into washers and clean, wet linens into dryers Fold clean, dry linen and place it into clean carts Maintain accurate records of linen inventory Wash, dry, fold, and distribute customer clothing Maintain equipment and laundry areas, ensuring they are clean and safe Follow all policies and procedures of the nursing center Check stock and notify supervisor of supply needs Deliver laundry as specified Put customer service first and ensure that customers and families receive the highest quality of service
Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent preferred Ability to read, write, and understand the English language Good physical condition Working knowledge of standard materials, techniques, and equipment used in laundry activities Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public Annual verification of a negative TB skin test
Performs Related Duties:
Interact with customers, families, visitors, center, and Care Center Facility subsidiary personnel Carry out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention/participation may be required Join our team and help us provide quality post-acute rehabilitation and psychiatric services to our patients!
