Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, uniforms, and other laundry items within our facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all items are laundered, dried, and pressed to the highest standards, contributing to the overall guest experience in our hotel environment. Duties Operate washing machines and dryers to launder various items including linens, towels, and uniforms. Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry items for distribution. Inspect laundry for stains or damage and apply appropriate cleaning methods as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces. Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items. Handle dry cleaning processes when necessary, ensuring proper care for delicate fabrics. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment. Requirements Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with dry cleaning processes and laundering techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively. Must be physically capable of lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
