Laundry Attendant
JOB DESCRIPTION A
Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. What will I be doing? As a Laundry Attendant, you would be responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area Maintain stock levels Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner Perform additional laundry services, as needed What are we looking for?Person Must be able to:
Follow proper use of approved chemicals and accurately label chemical containers. Always use gloves when handling chemicals. Complete Chemical Training and Blood borne Pathogen Training. Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with hotel standards. Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedule. Participate in daily pre-shift. Know how to operate laundry equipment. Communicate properly and effectively with the guest, associates, and managers. Effectively respond to guest complaints. Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company.
